Alice & Sara headband, Topshop maxi dress, French Connection sweater, Marithe Francoise Girbaud parka, nameless Ugg boots
When it comes to deconstructed and avant garde fashion the designing duo Marithe & Francoise Girbaud have always been high on my ''maybe someday'' list. Sure, I've stalked a few items on Ebay in the hopes of not seeing the bid raise too high. I've also hoped for a random high street store colab, which isn't really going to happen seeing how they're not that consumer oriented. Over time I gave up and hoped in richer times (don't we all?). Well, when this parka basically fell on top of my head just recently I gasped for air and grabded it like there was no tomorrow. I ask of you, who gives away a superb, barely worn Girbaud parka?! I'm just going to assume it was my twin sister from a parallel reality because I can't otherwise explain it. And yes, I know you can sometimes find designer items when thrifting but I'm thinking more like 80s and 90s things, not almost brand new items. But don't get me wrong, I am NOT complaining.
The parka itself has amazing details, an uneven deconstructed hem, the perfect hood and extra long sleeves, just like I like them. Not to mention the indutrial zippers and delicate aztec motif zipper pulls. What can I say, I'm hooked.
This is why I've decided it's a good opportunity to wear the amazing head band Alice from Dulapul bunicii made for me. I'm telling you, Alice and her sister Sara are sooo talented and if you haven't visited their store yet you should do so with the utmost urgency (I feel so burgeouis when saying utmost), they make pretty awesome stuff. In all truth, I can't believe I went for so long without this headband :D

I need a parka, I want a parka...
I'm looking for a parka :) ...but it's all in vain. The stores here in Bucharest only stock on flimsy, shinny, tacky, short laim jackets that can barely bare the name "jacket"...

try Ebay, always try Ebay :P
That parka is beyond awesome - such a lucky find! Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to me that you like it so much and plan to wear it a lot, makes me happy. And yes the stores here only have trendy, super mainstream stuff, you have to look elsewhere (mainly online stores and ebay for something a bit special):)
