I do believe all the voodoo that I do do (I know, can't help it) finally worked. So here's another reason I'm going bankrupt: TOPSHOP has finally extended its shipping policy - they are DELIVERING TO ROMANIA. Oh yes. For 7.5 pounds we get a chance to shop one of London's finest high street shops. Why WHY wasn't Topshop doing this a couple of years ago when I was crying for some Emma Cook boots? No matter. They are doing it now. Do enjoy :)

The All Natural Face

I've been promising a review for that mineral cosmetics Etsy shop, The All Natural Face. Well, here it is. The package arrived on the 9th, which is basically 8 days after it was shipped, which is pretty fast considering the distance.
Here are a few picture of the products and a few swatches - the camera was acting up a bit and I didn't have the patience to take more pics so these well have to do.





The owner of the shop, Crystal, was nice enough to include three extra eyeshadow samples. I used them on top of the primer and they held up quite well, although there was some creasing after about four hours. The colors are vibrant and very pigmented so no complaints here. She forgot one of the brushes I ordered but offered to send it to me so I have nothing to complain when it comes to customer service. I will make another order soon because I want to try out the foundation and blushes, seeing how good the eyeshadow is.
The argan oil is interesting, I used it on my face, it absorbs well into the skin. What I don't like is the smell, which isn't very powerful but a tad annoying. But I'll live with it :)
All in all I'm definitely ordering again.

In other news I wanted to show off a dress I recently got - an original Sonya Rykiel dress. This is actually a thrift, I actually died when I saw the tag. I love it because it's baggy and comfortable and has buttons on both sides that go all the way up.

THE circular scarf, let's learn to accept it

People, it is snowing outside. Seriously. Good news is my cold is fading away, aka my sense of smell is coming back (generally so I can fully enjoy my cat's pooping) and as soon as there will be a form of sunshine outside we will (and this is a promise) resume the Blog activities. YES, there are dresses waiting. Pretty, flowery, lovely, vicious and delicious dresses.


Until that moment comes let me bore you some more with a few things the Hatter (you do know the Hatter is somewhat of a multiple personality character, right?) likes and dislikes.


First on the list we have a charming website turned book. This one is awfully famous in the US, mostly because it makes fun of white people. But in an odd good way, not quite in that wrong, rarist way it may sound. It has a LOT of urban American references which really ding my dong, so to put it in a slightly dirty way. The first 5 years through med school I didn't own or watch TV and have used my time stuffing my brain with sitcoms and overall crappy American urban culture, thanks to the All Mighty Internet. I've noticed this is something other Romanians have chose to do, so for those of you who know what a phalange is and that The Bird is the Word, this is a website you're probably going to enjoy.


As a hint to phalange thing above, the Hatter does not like Jennifer Aniston.


Moving on, another thing on the like list is the UK postal system. Amazing tracking, fast shipping, no packages going missing. Almost equal to the German postal system, which is hands down the best in the world. These guys are dead serious about their mail. Just saying.


The next item on the list is Ebay. Here we have a love/hate relationship. Because it's so easy to buy stuff at much cheaper prices than anywhere else but it's quite annoying to sell stuff, mainly because they have such high fees. But Ebay is quite a good thing considering we're living in Romania, the place where everything costs at least double than anywhere else.


On the dislike list we have Paypal and its annoying refund policy. I mean come on, it takes them around 2 seconds to take my money but up to 30 days to refund them? Boo!


Fish. The Hatter does not like fish (living that is). And is not too keen on birds either.


Circular scarves. I happen to like circular scarves. They have not been invented yesterday, they have been around for a while, they are practical and quite amazing. What I don't like is Romanian people looking at a circular scarf like it's the new coming of Christ. Get over yourselves people, it's just a freakin` scarf.


All in all, that's it for today. Tomorrow I'm getting the package with all the makeup from The All Natural Face, so expect an article soon, including swatches and stuff.

Oh, forgot to add. There's this British TV show called Peep Show. It's quite wrong and twisted so some of you may enjoy it. Just saying.

Black and Blue Pathology

I know, I said the shopping is going to stop. But it has a mind of its own, I tell you. It grows and it grows and once of a sudden you wake up credit card in hand typing in frantically all those numbers in. And this is one of those outrageous buys that I'm not proud of. But I'm going with the old 'this is my Bday and Xmas present all rolled into one and I'm not buying anything else EVER' excuses.
So I got the insane Christiano for Payless exclusive heels thingies. WITH the talon heel. The other two versions available here and here are also insane but I'm a sucker for blue & black. Sure, a million things can go wrong, like them getting my size wrong, like the shoe being sold out before my friend places the order (Payless doesn't sell outside the US so this is one of those pretty please buys).

I've Been Dreaming of Dresses All Night

Palarierul tot incearca o mobilizare generala, astfel incat sa postam si noi cateva rochii care se smiorcaie ca vor Primavara. Totusi aici a nins, Palarierul a racit (astfel incat se smiorcaie el, desi doar pe o nara - cea dreapta) astfel incat fotografiile si postarile vor mai astepta o saptamana. Desigur, cu scuzele de rigoare. Pana atunci, cate o bomboana (sau mai multe):

Dulcurile preferate ale Palarierului (in aceasta ordine) lemn dulce - sub toate formele posibile, precum si alternativa sa, caramele din apa de mare (insanity at its best, seriously). Aici e aceiasi poveste ca la britanica Marmite - love or hate. We happen to love it.

Urmatoarele pe lista - jelly beans, dar cele originale, nu alea care iti ridica glicemia in nori fara sa te mangaie intai pe cap.

Next, o recomandare pentru cele care cauta si cauta si cauta lenjerie care la noi este mai rara decat bunul simt - cupe DD+. Figleaves este raspunsul, cu taxa de livrare in Romania de 5.5 lire si o selectie nesfarsita.

Aceasta poza... este pur si simplu fascinanta. We just don't know why. But she does look a little bit like liquorice. Fascinating.
